Warm weather is on my mind, and beginning to transform our yard into a relaxing oasis for us and the pups is at the top of my agenda! (Along with our bedroom, the mudroom, and a million other house projects.) I've been searching for a cute, affordable outdoor rug to use with our picnic table and possibly a few for the front porch.

I'm thinking bright colors and a fun print!

Gorgeous patio off one of the suites at our recent Palm Springs home, The Ace Hotel. I miss Palm Springs!

Love this bright outdoor space. Here the outdoor rugs are hung on the wall, genius!

This rug might be a winner, super cute and from an unexpected source! Just imagine how cute hanging egg chairs would look with it...

We received a lovely anniversary gift from one my closest friends, a large sheet of mushroom paper made by Italian company Grafiche Tassotti. It is beyond gorgeous and I can't wait to frame it up! Now I want to get my hands on some of Grafiche Tassotti's art prints.

She picked it up at Hollander's in Ann Arbor, I'm assuming after one of her visits to Elephant Ears. I can't wait to have a baby two streets away! :)
The one thing I didn't get at The Rust Belt Market last weekend was the beautiful pottery and ceramics from Almapottery Studio.

Lucky for me, artist Lavinia Hanachiuc has two Etsy stores to shop from. You can visit them here and here! I just love her drawing style and the slightly dark feeling I take from her work. Gorgeous stuff!

Of course every visit to the Rust Belt involves a visit to Arden Park! Owner Timothy Grebik Jr. has done some changes to the layout of his shop lately and I thought the changes were lovely! Here's some pics from last weekend.

Aren't we cute? All dressed up for Pride weekend!

The new layout is much easier to walk though, inviting customers to come in and take a look! I also love the ladder fixture and the bright, happy tablecloth.

Love the brightly striped textile, and the Michigan made lawn animals. That little deer is begging to come home with me.

Arden Park will also soon have a station outdoors! So if you haven't visited yet, this weekend is a great time to stop by. I would highly recommend the fresh lemonade. :)

I had a great summer weekend filled with bike riding, yummy ice cream from Treat Dreams, and my personal favorite: searching for treasures for the house!

First stop: The Royal Oak Flea Market
I love embroidered pictures, and I hit the jackpot this weekend. This owl has such delicate embroidery it almost looks like its drawn. Love it!

This piece had a little more wear and tear to it, but at $4 I couldn't resist. While I love all embroidery, I'm a sucker for anything nautical.

I found this beautiful vintage Vera dishtowel for $2! I'm thinking about turning it into a pillow.

I also found four vintage photographs for my photo wall.

I've had my eye on these vintage apothecary jars from Belgium since The Rust Belt first opened. I love the dark amber color, and the shape. They are currently living in the dining room...for now. :)

I've also been admiring these gorgeous mineral pillows from Salt Labs. I had the chance to meet the designer and was pleased to hear that her favorite pillows are the mineral pillows as well!

I've been searching for some throw pillows for all rooms of the house, and these are so well-crafted and locally made. Make sure to check out her website, she has a great selection!

Keeping the embroidery trend going, I also picked up this gorgeous deer from Featherheart Trading Co, one of my favorite vendors at the Rust Belt. She has a great collection of vintage clothing and home accessories as well as natural body products.

Speaking of The Rust Belt, check back soon for an Arden Park update and the pottery I'm obsessed with!

Now that my hair is getting longer, I'm loving all the different things I can do with it! My Palm Springs staple was definitely the high bun, but I'm dreaming of braids and knots!

The beautiful crown braid, my favorite.

Ombre knots.

Love the curled back bangs, so retro and charming.

Can't forget head scarves, my favorite summer accessory!

After checking out the grounds, we stepped inside to linger in the gorgeous lobby at The Parker

Wow! I loved this room, I actually went over and touched the huge side lamps. I want them!

Someone was sitting in this section when I wanted to snap a pic! It really looks like this...

My view from the egg chairs. Love the colors in this space.

Here we are, lounging in the egg chairs. Such a great day and what a beautiful hotel!
