I really need two Acapulco chairs. Outside in the summer, inside in the winter.
Totally worth the investment. ;)

I put up my first vintage oil painting over the weekend! I love this portrait.

I can't get over the expression on her face and those bright green trees behind her. It really was love at first sight.

I need a better camera!

After seeing Petra Boase's bathroom in Emily Chalmer's new book Modern Vintage Style, (which is fantastic!) I have become very intrigued with swans. I find all these images to be so graceful and calming.

Of course, Bjork. Vespertine leaves me speechless.

Nicholas and I both love these prints by Aled Lewis. So clever!

Obsessed with this Bodum french press and tea kettle made in honor of Irish architect and furniture designer Eileen Gray. I love the chrome and the geometric cut-outs. So chic!

I recently found my first vintage silhouette, an item that always has been, and will continue to be, on my radar. It's the perfect addition to our art wall!

I was really attracted to the little blue frame, and the strange shape. Is it a hat, or hair, or both? I've decided it's a little lost boy, the Peter Pan type. :)

I've been really struck with navy interiors and furniture lately. It screams luxury in all the right ways. I've also decided that I must own a midnight blue, velvet couch at one point in my life. Gorgeous!

Beautiful Warren Platner table and chairs.

Lauren Moffatt Fall 2011: Behind the Scenes from Lauren Moffatt on Vimeo.

Love this preview of Lauren Moffatt Fall 2011. It's finally feeling like Spring...but that cape coat with the large front pockets is calling my name!

Have you seen Secrets From a Stylist?! It takes a lot for a new show to intrigue me when I'd much rather watch old British shows on Netflix, but this new program on HGTV is a hit!

Stylist and Design Star winner Emily Henderson has a great eye for repurposing vintage furniture, most of which she finds at flea markets and resale shops.

Lucky girl, she has the Rose Bowl Flea Market!

cute Anthro cardigan, I have the same one in my closet! :)

So here's the show in a nutshell, she meets with a couple, helps them figure out their individual styles, and then creates two looks, the final look melding their two styles together. I want her job!

Check out full episodes here

Here are some of my favorite interior shots from her portfolio:

This girls got talent!

I absolutely adore architect Josef Frank's fabric and wallpaper. The bright colors and vibrant patterns are true classics of Swedish modernism. Producing over 200 patterns, Frank dared to step outside the established linear patterns that defined modernism at his time.

Frank was a true creative force, besides architecture and pattern design he also produced furniture designs, metalwork, lighting and glassware.
