Maya Marzolf is one cool lady. She owns an antique store, Le Grenier, in Brooklyn, and lives in a beautiful three-story brownstone. Check out her space on Design*Sponge, and in the latest issue of InsideOut. Which is by the way the best foreign interiors magazine, HANDS DOWN. I recently had a freakout because I thought I forgot to buy Issue 86, so I bought one on Ebay, then the Ebay seller couldn't find the magazine in his house, then I was depressed, then I found it at my house and realized that I actually had bought that issue. Silly me.
My real inspiration came with Marzolf's bedroom. I've been dreaming about vintage iron beds, (which is my dream bed) and toile curtains (which I'm seriously considering, will post about soon!). I pop open my InsideOut magazine and there they are. Beautiful! As I look closer, she has the same duvet as me from Dwell. We are bedroom design soul mates.
The problem with vintage iron beds is that they are hard to find, and really hard to find in queen size. Part of me wants to just get the CB2 bed Nicholas and I both really like, but my heart is screaming for me to hold out for that magical find, because it really would be worth it. Who knew our bedroom remodel would be so challenging?
this post is great!
