Every kitchen needs one.
 Plate wall!
Vintage deer & a Nikki Sass painting, that I love!
Collections are everywhere!

A peek inside the curio cabinet.
Love the utilitarian binning!

I love my friend Tim's house. He's a collector, has great taste, and a very unique way of styling things that I adore.  We bounce ideas off each other a lot and he is my go-to guy for any house project I don't know how to do! We were hanging out the other day so I took these snapshots inside his home. Enjoy!

While searching for images of vintage scarves, I ran across John and Linda Meyers home. They have a vintage Hermes scarf framed above a couch in their Portland home, shown in the first image. Their house is pretty fabulous!

Turns out this couple are both artists and designers who own Wary Meyers Decorative Arts. They also have a book called "Wary Meyers Tossed and Found."

I'm in love with their interior works, especially their own home. Most of the materials used in their spaces are from garage sales and flea markets. This is a great New York Times article back from 2008 that explains their design mantra.

I'm greatly attracted to this decorating style, as most of my own home is furnished with vintage pieces found at antique stores, flea markets, and thrift stores. Nothing beats the thrill of searching through a pile of junk, and finding something remarkable!

Stylist Marcus Hay's New York apartment is wonderful!

I also found images of his old apartment. I can't decide which one I like best!

Reasons why I love Kate Spade:

1. Nicholas gave me a pair of beautiful, black, patent leather, platform Mary Janes when we first started dating. I still love them, and I still love him.

2. Spring 2011's sandpiper motif

3. Kate Spade's house!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Florist Nicolette Owen's Williamsburg home is so calm and airy. Her home reminds me of my friend Tim's house. They both have beautiful green thumbs.

Not only is Blonde Redhead one my favorite bands, but Kazu Makino & Amedeo Pace's two bedroom apartment is one of my all-time favorite interiors. I love when a space has a strong aesthetic that flows naturally and effortlessly from room to room. An interior where each item fits perfectly within the overall space without feeling forced or stuffy. This apartment was featured in Domino magazine a few years ago, and I can remember how inspirational it was for me to see these images from their enchanting home. There is so much to love: the toile wallpaper, the amazing plate rack, the beautiful wood floors, and the striking antiques. This space continues to inspire me in so many ways, and once again confirms that Makino is too cool!
